The design is built in two layers. The first garden is painted and sealed under resin, then a second layer of blooms is painted on top and sealed again. The result is real depth: the flowers look like they're floating above the garden below, and the effect changes as the light moves across the tray.
The outside is painted olive green, with hand-painted frangipani, buds and leaves in neon pink, lemon and coral, plus black graphic stripes. The rim and cut-out handles are soft mint, and the base is finished in olive, so it looks good from every angle.
