Bromeliad leaves burst out from the centre in sweeping arcs of hot pink, teal, plum and sage, like a firework of foliage. Chunky blooms in neon yellow, soft lilac and fiery red-orange pop up through the leaves, giving the whole piece a wild, joyful energy.
It's painted in heavy-body acrylic. The bold, curving leaves are laid down in long, confident strokes, then the blooms are built up thick, so they sit right up off the surface. Sgraffito, my signature technique, scratches fine lines back through the wet paint, and pencil adds texture and detail throughout. The neon yellow and pink really glow in person.
It's painted on A4 paper with a masked-off white border, and it comes with a lilac A4 mat that sits perfectly over the border. Just pop it straight into a standard A4 frame. No custom framing needed.
