Four cymbidium orchids cascade down the page in neon pink, coral and lemon, each one with a deep maroon lip and a creamy white heart. They float on a cool aqua and mint background, with sweeping strokes of olive green leaves. The colours are juicy, bold and full of joy.
It's built up in rich, textured layers. The orchid centres are laid on thick so they sit right up off the paper, while the petals are brushed in loose, energetic strokes with neon pink and orange glowing through. Fine lines are scratched back with sgraffito, my signature technique, and pencil adds detail throughout. The neon really glows in person.
It would bring a burst of colour to a bedroom, lounge or anywhere that needs cheering up.
